ABOUT LISA BRATHWAITE
As an Instructional Transformation Coach with Boston Public Schools, I am dedicated to advancing educational equity by driving instructional excellence and culturally affirming practices across our district. In this role, I partner with educators and school leaders to disrupt inequities and ensure that all students, especially those from historically marginalized communities, receive the high-quality education they deserve. My work involves leveraging deep content knowledge and data-driven strategies to guide teachers in refining their practice and creating rigorous and inclusive learning environments that honor our students\' diverse cultural and linguistic identities. I support schools in implementing evidence-based instructional frameworks, provide targeted coaching and mentoring, and lead professional learning that centers on anti-racist principles and culturally sustaining pedagogy.Working alongside school leadership teams, I focus on strategic planning and change management to build sustainable systems that elevate teacher quality and student achievement. By fostering a continuous reflection, collaboration, and growth culture, I aim to empower educators to lead with intention and impact, making classrooms dynamic spaces where every student feels seen, valued, and capable of excellence.
