ABOUT MATTHEW LOPES

Hello, my name is Matthew Lopes. I graduated from Suffolk University this past May with a bachelor\'s degree in Global Business and Management. I have also completed an Accounting and History Minor. I have also earned my Teaching English to Speakers of another Language or TESOL Certificate during my time at Suffolk University. Most people know me as adaptable, trustworthy, and understanding. I learned a lot while studying abroad at Suffolk University Madrid Campus during the 2020 to 2021 school year which was two semesters in total. I learned two skills primarily the first one was intercultural communication, which is vital in today\'s global job market, and how to be flexible given that Covid-19 regulations changed frequently. I plan to use the skills and knowledge that I have learned in the classroom by taking courses in Management, Education, Writing, Law, and Global Business. I also gained a lot of transferable skills during my experience being a team leader for Jumpstart and my job experience in the visitor services sector at the Museum of Fine Arts. I hope to translate all these skills and knowledge I have learned into a position in secondary education.
