I currently work for Community Learning and Skills, and my role is to promote the services of three parts of the organisation-Kent Training and Apprenticeships - offers Apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeship training to young people. We work with employers across Kent and Medway to identify opportunities for employment, and deliver the training once the young person in in place.Skills Plus - offers free Functional Skills training in English, maths and ESOL to anyone of 19+ who wishes to either gain a qualification they never achieved at school, or to brush up their current skills.Adult Education - offers work and leisure based learning opportunities to help people gain new skills. Subjects cover Arts; Languages: Business; Health and Beauty, and General Studies.Through this part of our organisation we also deliver Family Programmes, which enable adults and children to learn together, and covers fun activities; parenting skills, and English, maths and ESOL.We also work in partnership with companies to identify projects where our funding can enhance or widen the scope of the bid, or where we can become an integral part of the offer to deliver skills, training or development.
