ABOUT LINDSEY METSKER

Driven by redefining industry standards and city skylines, I am currently in pursuit of a Bachelors of Science in Construction Management at the University of Florida. Entering my final year in upper division of the Rinker program, I\'ve been able to build a strong foundation in construction processes through technical, managerial, and business courses. I am eager to gain exposure to the industry through real world experiences, by applying the fundamental knowledge I’ve acquired in the classroom. This summer I have the privilege of interning with Power Design Inc. as a Operations Management Intern, where I am able to better my understanding of electrical processes. I\'ve gained firsthand exposure to both the technical and financial sides of project management—facilitating invoice approvals, tracking critical path activities, and coordinating material logistics. Working closely with project managers and the superintendent has taught me how financial controls and field operations intersect to drive project success. This experience reinforced my passion for construction management and gave me the confidence and foundational skills to contribute meaningfully in future project roles. As I continue down the path of becoming a Project Manager, I am continuously looking for opportunities to further the skills and knowledge necessary for success in this field. Through my passion and broadened perspective, I hope to one day make a meaningful impact on the built environment.
