Production and Marketing Manager @Cafe Connections

Since 2007 I have been looking after the production side of things at Cafe Connections - assisting customers to brand their food packaging or create bespoke products.My aim is to make print as hassle-free as possible - which is why I guide an enquiry through every stage of the production process - liaising with customers, designers and manufacturers so that together we achieve the best possible results.For 14 years beforehand I helped set up and run Charterhouse Standard Holdings a property investment/development company where I had particular responsibilities for promotion and project management.I had left school at 15 with nothing but a beginner\'s swimming certificate keen to hit the ground running. I worked for a number of PR/advertising agencies in the 1970\'s/80s, an exciting time, gaining experience of a wide range of sectors including food & beverage, yachting, art and the emerging computer industry. I subsequently worked as a freelance copywriter becoming known for my ability to translate technical information into readable, promotional copy. I also spent time as project co-ordinator for PNW, architects specialising in pub and restaurant refurbishment. Not only was this the spark that ignited my interest in property - the insight into the practical, operational issues for sites has proved very useful to me in my work with Cafe Connections.Attention to detail has been the keyword throughout my career - a career which has seen massive technological changes in design and print. Printing food packaging presents very different challenges to other areas of print - and I work hard to understand both the possibilities and limitations so that I can provide the best possible advice to customers.
