ABOUT LILIAN ALTEN

Originally from Washington, D.C. I came to Oxford, OH to continue my education and develop myself as a professional individual. My interests in incorporating creativity into the professional business world led me to pursue a marketing major Miami\'s Farmer School of Business. My passion for architecture and environmentally sustainability led me to pursue my minor in urban and regional analysis at Miami\'s College of Arts and Sciences. Throughout my time at Miami University and my membership in the business fraternity Pi Sigma Epsilon, I have developed and refined myself as a professional leader and communicator. This past year I served as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for my business fraternity. Apart from my business fraternity, I am a member of the Beta Eta chapter of Phi Mu sorority. In Phi Mu, I have been able not only to meet so many passionate and driven women, but give back to our local and larger community. We host numerous fundraiser events each semester for Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Outside of the classroom and my on-campus involvement, I worked as an account manager for Step Up Social, a student-run start up marketing agency. In this position I was able to work closely with clients to understand their goals and strategize with our in-house teams to make them a reality.
