Natural Environment and Communications Director @The Broadway Initiative
I joined Broadway to lead our work on nature policy, bringing my land management experience to to our work on nature markets. I led and co-authored the State of UK Nature Markets 2023 report, which led to the creation of the Nature Markets Dialogue that I continue to direct. I convened a coalition of 180 professionals from over 160 organisations to develop consensus around high integrity investment in nature recovery and orchestrated our engagement with the incoming Labour Government officials. I was subsequently asked to use my communications experience to take on the role of Communications Director for Broadway and our flagship projects. I wrote the first communications strategy for the UK Business Climate Hub, an information portal that represents an unprecedented collaboration between Government and business. My strategy took the website from launch to monthly users in five months. I have represented Broadway on the Net Zero Council climate communications working group, where I have been able to bring my unique campaigning background to the challenge of winning hearts and minds and combatting opponents to the green transition.
