ABOUT LIAM HUFFMAN

My favorite part of the job? Helping my team achieve their goals and unlock new potential in themselves. I strive to enable each of my managers to appropriately balance project needs and direct report requests while providing a high level of dedication and attention to each.In my time as an analyst, I developed highly technical development skills in Tableau and QuickSight, learned how to write efficient and accurate code in Snowflake, Azure, and AWS environments, and developed softer skills such as audience management of mixed crowds (analysts to C-levels) and requirements gathering for deeply technical projects. I also helped introduce DEI training into our company by co-founding our quarterly DEI Book Club - I still participate in and run this program to introduce it to each of our new team members if they\'d like to participate. As a manager, I often served as a project lead, overseeing agile pods of analysts on projects that represented end-to-end business intelligence solutions, all the way from sourcing the data to delivering a bespoke dashboard for both analyst and executive consumption. I would also scope these projects, looking across up to three different teams to source employee support for the project. I balanced this work, along with advanced analyst work, against managing a team of up to 4 mixed-level analysts. Now as a team lead, I guide 4 managers, each with 2 or more analysts under them. I aim to balance their career development goals against business needs and client priorities, ensuring all parties receive the maximum value from engaged, fulfilled team members. I create programs, goals, and initiatives that enable our team to replicate current skills and develop new ones. I work to create a trusting, inclusive environment where everyone feels represented, respected, and valued.I love achieving my own goals and improving my metrics, but ultimately I derive my joy, pride, and drive from seeing my team succeed and outperform their own expectations.
