ABOUT L. GORDON CURTIS
I am a Digital Technology professional focused on providing digital solutions to business challenges, with an interest in the Cold Chain, AgTech, and outdoor industries. In my current role as Digital Technology Associate Director, I lead the IT functions for Carrier Transicold’s Truck Trailer America’s business. My team works closely with our IT vendors and WHQ counterparts to implement and support enterprise digital systems such as our eCommerce platform, warranty, service, and ERP systems. I meet regularly with business leadership to understand the business strategy and work with my team to ensure our digital systems are up to date, reliable, and being enhanced to meet the business’s needs. We are taking thoughtful approaches to the use of AI in these systems to improve worker productivity and ability to interpret data.Previously, I was a Digital Technology Manager for Carrier Corporation\'s Refrigeration business unit. In this role I led software product development efforts related to our Internet of Things capabilities, cloud architecture, and mobile applications. I am still involved in helping these global programs to develop and implement solutions for our customers.Additionally, I held positions related to IT Compliance, most recently as the IT Controller for Carrier Refrigeration in the Americas. I worked for Carrier\'s previous parent company, United Technologies (now Raytheon), as a Lead Internal Auditor with a focus on information system security. In addition to working out of Hartford, Connecticut, I was located abroad for two and a half years in Paris, France covering the European, Middle East, and Africa region. Before Internal Audit, I worked in the United Technologies Information Technology Leadership program, where I developed enhancements to manufacturing and business process information systems.In my free time, I help maintain my homestead farming project, Windy Apple Farms, and coach in the Osceola Ski Club for young nordic skiers.
