ABOUT OLEG LEIZEROV

Until recently, I was a Senior Software Development Engineer at Amazon Grocery, where I act as a technical lead across multiple teams. I designed and delivered large-scale, high-impact cost management system that support over $10 billion in annual spend.Previously, I was a founding member on the AWS RDS Custom engineering team, building the service from concept through its AWS re:Invent launch and production adoption. My software development career began in the automotive industry, developing safety-critical middleware for autonomous driving systems.Before that, I ran a hotel and restaurant in the Austrian Alps, where I doubled revenue, modernized operations, and learned to move fast, adapt to ambiguity, and lead with a customer-first mindset. This entrepreneurial experience shaped my product instincts and leadership mindset.Earlier, I held solution sales professional and account executive roles at Microsoft and SAP, working directly with enterprise customers to solve real business challenges - an experience that sharpened my ability to listen deeply, align technical solutions with customer needs, and navigate complex stakeholder environments. These lessons continue to inform how I build systems today.I mentor engineers and participate in hiring to help grow strong, high-performing teams.
