I started work in finance just weeks before Northern Rock suffered the first British bank run in over 150 years.I worked in structured credit coming out of the financial crisis, building a multi-billion pound portfolio of RMBS/ABS and CLOs for Nationwide Treasury.I then worked on the derivatives desk, hedging the retail mortgages and savings flows, and beginning the implementation of central clearing.In late 2015 I joined the Nationwide Pension Fund where I led an investment team responsible for providing a full investment service to the Trustee. Covering investment due diligence, ESG, liquidity management, risk management, governance, and everything in between.I led the Fund in executing a £1.7bn longevity swap, a £180m buy-in and the structuring of a £1.7bn contingent asset to further secure member benefits.I now lead Corporate Investment Consulting for Isio, working with a wide variety of sponsors and Trustees to efficiently manage risk and secure member benefits.
