I hold a PhD in telecommunications awarded by the University of Oulu (Finland) and I am a senior systems engineer with seventeen years of experience in the ICT domain matured in distinguished research institutions and large industries. I possess in-depth understanding of 5G technology (3GPP Rel. 15 through 17), as well as of beyond 5G and 6G technological foundations. I am knowledgeable in cloud technology applied to the telecom sector availing software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualisation (NFV) technologies. Specifically, I am knowledgeable in Openstack and Kubernetes.I gained significant experience with different wireless technologies, including also communications at millimetre waves and wireless sensor networks. I have long term experience with different simulation tools, including network simulators such as Opnet, Omnet++ and with Matlab. I also possess some knowledge of NS-3. Moreover, medium access control protocols design and DSP techniques are part of my technical expertise. I am also acquainted with lab activities toward test beds development and use case testing, including amongst others software-defined radios like NI USRP and SRS LTE 4G open source software.
