In this hands-on, intensive training program for progressive thoughtleaders, I nurtured the skills required to manage campaigns, speak effectively, and fundraise. I learned how to create startups and network with like-minded individuals working for change within the community. Through NLC, I supported and challenged policymakers in the hopes of establishing a more inclusive political and cultural landscape. My 2020 capstone on independent living for the disabled community won first place.

ABOUT LEANDRA ALI DOLSINGH

Are you an editor at a digital or print publication who needs lively, unique features and profiles told by a professionally-trained journalist? Does your outlet need a blogger who can tell in-depth, experiential stories that keep readers scrolling to read more? I’m Leandra, a Harvard-educated, dynamic, and immersive professional writer who thrives on evocative and in-depth storytelling. I believe that great writing grows from telling great stories, and the best stories emerge from the alchemy between embracing new experiences and being a great listener who can evoke the heart of a source’s unique narrative. My combined training, work experience, and personality are ideally suited for working on a variety of stories, essays, and blog posts for multiple outlets. I thrive on deep effort and am seeking novel ways to do what needs to be done to complete a project. As a seasoned world traveler (45 countries and counting), I also seek to promote diversity and inclusion, not only in coverage of major media outlets, but also in our communities, our workplaces, and our government, through direct action and insightful communication. Another invaluable skill I possess is the ability to write about complex subject matter and research in ways that most readers can understand and find relatable. In addition to freelance writing, I’m seeking long-term contract work with nonprofit, higher education, and municipal organizations in order to help those entities contribute to the greater good in our society. Having work experience in the nonprofit and education sectors already, I’m able to bring solid project management, communications, and teaching/training skills to help an organization thrive. With my dynamic nature and strong people skills, I am able to effectively work with team members at every level of an organization. To learn more about how my experience can benefit your publication or organization, feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn or email me at l••••••••@gmail.com.
