PRIMARY FUNCTION:The Program Manager will focus on providing advanced program management guidance and expertise in support of acquisition programs. Will have comprehensive knowledge of the principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management ad defined in DoDI and Will also have knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of assigned software development projects. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:+ Formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule and performance objectives.+ Provide effective oral and written communications and provide quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.).+ Assist in the preparation, review and integration of selected documentation, periodic reports, certifications and other DoD directives.+ Assist in reviewing contractor deliverable status and milestone schedules, status reports and cost performance reports.+ Prepare briefings and reports in direct support of the program management function and program reviews.+ Support program management reviews, senior level meeting reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews.+ Develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.+ Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) expertise and support associated with existing legacy (sustainment) programs and new acquisition programs.+ Identify and advise on acquisition strategies following principles outlined in both DoD 5001, the Business Capabilities Lifecycle and Performance Based Service contracts.+ Outline policy disconnects, policy interpretation, and management of all acquisition efforts.+ Analyze acquisition issues and develop risk reduction and mitigation approaches for improving program planning, control and execution.
