My father owns his own events traffic management company (CTM). We specialise in a wide range of events ranging from parades, cycle races, running events and small community events. We worked alongside the NHS on a vaccination site in York back in early 2021. The company has taken me far from home and has given me a unique insight into the events world. Being able to understand how smaller components of events can often be the most vital.

I am currently pursuing a BA (Hons) degree in Events Management at Leeds Beckett University, where I am expanding my knowledge and skills in event design, marketing, finance, and operations. I am passionate about creating memorable and engaging experiences for diverse audiences, especially in the corporate sector. My goal is to apply my learnings and insights from both my education and my work to innovate and improve the quality and sustainability of events. I am also an assistant at CTM (my father’s traffic management company) where I contribute to the execution of traffic management for various events, ranging from large festivals to small charity runs. I have gained valuable experience in the organisational and health and safety aspects of the events industry, as well as in collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and authorities. This is what sparked my interests into the events world.
