I lead the development and delivery of Trafford’s Inclusive Economy agenda, working across sectors and systems to ensure that growth benefits all residents, businesses, and communities.My role focuses on building a fairer, more resilient local economy by addressing inequalities, supporting place-based regeneration, and driving meaningful collaboration between public services, businesses, and communities. I work closely with colleagues across the council, the VCFSE sector, Greater Manchester partners, and local stakeholders to embed inclusion, participation, and sustainability in everything we do.Key priorities include:Leading targeted employment and skills programmes, including those focused on green jobs, adult education, and in-work progressionSupporting regeneration across Trafford’s town centres and strategic development sites through inclusive placemaking approachesEnabling digital inclusion, career pathways, and access to opportunity through grassroots engagement and partnershipsStrengthening the role of the VCFSE sector in economic development, recognising its contribution to wellbeing, inclusion, and community wealthDriving business engagement, innovation, and social value through coordinated local networksAligning local strategy with Greater Manchester’s ambitions around employment, health, net zero, and inclusive growthThis role brings together three decades of experience across regeneration, employment, planning, health and leadership — and allows me to apply my coaching, systems thinking and facilitation expertise to help shape a more equitable, collaborative and people-centred local economy.
