ABOUT LAUREN TOIKKA
As a Structural Engineer at J.L. Richards and Associates Limited (JLR), Lauren Toikka, P.Eng, is experienced in carrying out structural design and assessments for commercial, institutional and industrial projects. As a member of the JLR structural team, Lauren has completed the design of complex structures, has assisted clients in resolving structural issues and has performed assessments on various structures. Lauren has specific experience in the area of blast load effects on structures, seismic analysis of structures and analysis of dam structures. Lauren has also been involved on a number of jobs in the aviation industry, including design of commercial and military aviation training facilities and conceptual design of jet engine test facilities. A graduate of Carleton University (B.Eng. Civil (Structural) Engineering with Concentration in Management), Lauren is also a licensed engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario, and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
