ABOUT LAURA RODGERS

I am a strategic operations director with over 25 years of experience in the professional services industry. I specialize in strategic planning and execution, software selection and implementation, process evaluation and optimization, acquisition integration, project leadership, financial analysis, personnel recruitment, vendor relations, and change management.My career began at Arthur Andersen as a tax consultant, where I later transitioned into an operations management role. In this capacity, I managed the financial, human resources, and risk management functions of the local tax department. I was also a key member of the transaction team responsible for the due diligence and integration of over 300 people from Andersen into KPMG in 2002. After joining KPMG, I established an operations management role in the Kansas City office.In 2004, I accepted a position with CBIZ, leveraging my accounting industry expertise to help standardize the firm\'s systems and processes. When CBIZ\'s National Tax Office was established in 2007, I returned to my tax background. As one of the three original members of CBIZ’s National Tax Office, I evaluated and implemented over a dozen crucial software applications and chaired the development of a proprietary application that integrates with seven different systems, generating personnel cost savings in the six figures. I also helped establish many of the policies and procedures, leveraging Lean Six Sigma principles to drive the standardization of both the national tax practice and the National Tax Office. I played a significant role in over two dozen acquisition due diligence processes and integrations or divestitures of tax locations, including the integration of a six-hundred-person regional firm. I was one of two directors instrumental in selecting and implementing a dedicated offshore tax preparation team vendor, including developing processes and standards. Finally, I established a national Tax Practice Digital Transformation and Innovation Team, Methodology Teams to help drive consistency and best practices.
