With having over 25 years of experience in Emergency 911 operations, I have a sound foundation and understanding of the processes and procedures associated with managing an Emergency Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). In addition to the operational component, I have managed the Training Unit and the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Unit as well. Through these experiences and assignments I am well versed in training adults as well as the requirements for obtaining and maintaining certifications from governing bodies within this arena. Throughout my tenure with the agency I have operated in alliance with the Broward County Medical Director, for two years, in analyzing data, identifying gaps of patient care and implementing improvement measures resulting in an increase in survival rates with out of hospital cardiac arrests. Additionally, I collaborated with fellow industry professionals, for eight months, on the Advisory Board at Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health on the planning and implementation of the First Responders Valor Program.
