Conducts analyses to identify or validate training requirements, using the systems approach to training, for training systems which provide skilled operator and/or maintenance personnel for new and existing weapon systems and operational equipment. Provides advisory and consultation services to the Program Director (PD), Project Manager (PJM) and Lead Engineer for training system/device acquisition or modification on matters related to the interpretation of training requirements and the application of education and training principles to training problems. Uses contractor support and other Government agencies for the analysis, design, development and procurement of Instructional Systems Development (ISD) products and instructional materials for operator, maintenance and instructor training courses for both existing and emerging weapon systems.
