I\'m currently Associate Curator of Manuscripts at the J. Paul Getty Museum, specializing inFrench manuscript illumination and early print culture of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. In my dissertation, I examined several aspects of late medieval manuscript culture at the French courts to provide an account of the material and ideological significance of the manuscript book during a time of major political and artistic restructuring. It addresses how royal and aristocratic patrons negotiated the political transitions of the age in visual and material ways. My primary academic interests include: French and Flemish illuminated manuscripts and paintings, multimedia 15th-century visual culture, early printing, late medieval women, late medieval and early Renaissance court culture, textile and costume history, materiality, royal patronage of the arts, and modern medievalisms.
