Oversees procurement compliance, vendor negotiations, contracts and policy writing. As the only technical expert for a worldwide NGO, I collaborate cross functionally from Project Assistants to Directors, Legal Counsel and the Executive Team in DC and abroad. Staff rely on my expertise interpreting federal regulations, contract terms and conditions to implement projects successfully and timely while staying compliant. Upon stepping into the role, I led a comprehensive overhaul of the organization’s procurement process - identifying inefficiencies, aligning procedures with compliance standards, updating internal forms and contract templates and implementing streamlined workflows. Most recently, I spearheaded a cross-functional initiative to transition the procurement system from a manual, paper-based workflow to a fully automated digital solution. This transformation improved operational efficiency, reduced processing time, increased transparency, and enhanced contract management. Last year, I led a strategic initiative to evaluate the headquarters’ needs for linguistic services, including online interpretation and written translation. Based on the analysis, I developed comprehensive recommendations to guide the competitive procurement process and the selection of preferred vendors, ensuring alignment with staff needs and organizational standards. As a result a more streamlined and central process was created, ensuring that staff across the organization had access to high-quality, cost-effective language support.
