I don’t sell ice to Eskimos… instead, I work with them to find a better way to make and use their own ice!”With over 10 years of experience, I have gained knowledge in both the design and delivery of business improvement solutions and projects. As a result of being involved in various stages of the project lifecycle, my expertise includes project design and management, data analysis and interpretation as well as reviewing current state processes and identifying future state improvements. I am comfortable with managing projects from initiation and design to execution and close out including early life support strategy implementation and quality assurance processes and have led projects as part of a portfolio and as standalone projects.Until recently, I led several high profile, large scale projects for Carnival UK in a number of departments covering in-house, on-ship and external customer priorities. Some of the most notable of these was the full redesign and transformation of the hotel operational structure on board the ships, a changeover of the people management and HR systems, the planning and implementation of a new time and attendance system and the management of the guest experience function for the introduction of a new ship into the fleet.Colleagues describe me as a highly creative individual who can always be trusted to come up with a new approach. But I know that the customers’ business comes first, and I never try to impose my ideas on others. Instead, I spend a lot of time understanding the business and the audience before suggesting ideas. I can (and often do) work well alone, but I’m at my best collaborating with others. I am a highly self-motivated and driven individual with proven success in identifying customer needs and implementing strategies to achieve these, committed to consistently achieving company and customer objectives ensuring continuous improvement strategies are identified and implemented following best practice policies. Having been trained in Prince2 and Lean Six Sigma I am comfortable in using both waterfall and agile approaches to managing projects and programs.
