ABOUT KYLE STEYN

Size 12 rugby boots would be daunting for most four-year-olds, but ever since a young Kyle Steyn stumbled around the garden wearing his dad’s big boots, he knew he wanted to play rugby. An unpredictable professional career followed, as Kyle went from Griquas’ Currie Cup captain in 2018 to Scotland Cap #1109 in 2020, via Scotland Sevens and Glasgow Warriors. It’s this unpredictability of sport and the people it is shared with that have captured and developed, his love for social interaction and problem solving. Kyle prides himself on humility, integrity and a fantastic work-ethic and is excited to take these lessons and values into a career after rugby. His hard-working nature extends beyond the playing and training fields, demonstrated by Kyle’s academic achievements of a BSc Human Life Sciences as well as a PGCE in Higher Education, both from the University of Stellenbosch.Despite his relatively niche formal education, Kyle’s business interests lie elsewhere. Particularly in investments or project management, but he will tackle any challenge that will allow him to further nurture his problem-solving skills in a group environment head-on.
