I spearheaded the safety and soundness of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, collectively the Government Sponsored Entities (GSEs), related to market and liquidity risk including analysis of duration, convexity, interest rate volatility, stress/scenario testing and documented and communicated the findings and conclusions to the Senior Leadership of the GSEs and FHFA. Additionally, I served as a Capital Markets Advisor to the Office of the Deputy Director and supported FHFA’s policy decisions related to the smooth functioning of the TBA market, and commingling fee of the Supers (Megas/Giants) securities. Key Accomplishments: Represented FHFA in Speaker Series with industry experts from the Wall Street firms, rating agencies and Mortgage Servicing Right (MSR) trading firms to provide insights on macroeconomic environment, housing finance and mortgage markets issuance/performance trends. Performed risk assessments for measuring, monitoring and reporting of Sensitivity to Market Risk of the GSEs that included managing of duration, convexity and interest rate volatility and presented the findings and conclusions to the FHFA Leadership. Participated in the Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) Working Group to analyze disclosure requirements related to green bonds issued by the GSEs and provided opined about potential new disclosures. Collaborated with the GSE Examination Teams for analysis of Interest Rate Risk including changes in Duration, Convexity, Volatility and Spread Risk and liquidity risk and presented results to the DER’s Leadership.Office of the Deputy Director Activities: Prepared and presented analysis of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies to the Director and the Deputy Director in preparation of a meeting with the FSOC; Prepared an overview of the Structured Finance market including new issuance and performance of the MBS, Commingled Products, and the CRT transactions.For detailed list of accomplishments, please contact me.
