ABOUT KRISTIAN TOIVO

Kristian is a senior executive with over thirty years of experience of extensive knowledge and understanding of the ICT industry and its dynamics and technologies. His focus is in the telecommunications industry, developing complex telecom solutions that target both developed and emerging markets, leading research and development, product marketing, sales, and deployment of complex solutions for Media, IT, and telecommunications. Beginning his career at Ericsson, where he held a range of roles, including Managing Director, Head of Development Unit Core Networks, Head of R&D in Finland, and Head of Customer Unit for a key customer. Later, he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Zenterio, which was acquired by Oregan Networks in 2019. Most recently, Kristian was a global client executive at Atos. Kristian is the Executive Director of Telecom Infra Project (TIP), having joined the Board of Directors in June 2022. Kristian stepped into his role at TIP to build upon the company’s momentum and champion the greater adoption of open and disaggregated technologies in network infrastructure. The cornerstone of his professional philosophy is the strong engagement of product development in the customer dialogue and the introduction of new solutions to enable customers to benefit from the chosen technology quickly. Kristian is also interested in developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence of the product development teams to ensure that they can develop even better solutions that meet true market needs.
