ABOUT KRISTINA LIV LARSEN
In addition to my MSIS and a Research Data Management certificate, I have extensive experience working with scientists, scholars, developers, and engineers in private and non-profit settings to organize effort and information and interpret material for non-technical audiences. Working for many years as a program and project manager for R&D teams in new technology and science exhibition development, I learned how to plan and execute projects, how to work iteratively, and to evolve plans to respond to emergent signals. I operate successfully in ambiguity, welcome unforeseen challenges, and can drive lengthy, complex projects to completion. I’m quick to pick up tools and develop proficiency with new technologies and methodologies. Building strong working relationships (both in person and online) is second nature to me, and I switch easily from collaboration to focused and self-directed independent work. My professional interests include interdisciplinary collaboration, information organization and retrieval, management of physical and digital archives, working with maps and geospatial information, presentation of technical information for a variety of audiences, opportunities for continued learning, and engagement with a diversity of topics including technology, art, design, cultural heritage and geography, social justice, and climate change.
