ABOUT KRISTINA DRYŽA

I’ve always felt that I live in two worlds: the imaginal and material realms, underworld and upper world, the linear and non-linear. I’m an ex-futurist, author, TEDx speaker, archetypal consultant, one of the Joseph Campbell Foundation’s Editorial Advisory Group and a steward for The Fifth Direction. Based between Australia and Lithuania, my work focuses less on the future and more on the unknown. Presence. Not prediction. What’s sacred? Not ‘what’s next?’ I’m passionate about helping people to perceive mythically and sense archetypally to better understand our shared humanity, yet honour the diverse ways we all live and make meaning. I guide people through transitions drawing on the ancient wisdom found in myths, archetypes and nature. I interweave metaphors, paradoxes, symbols and rituals with deep dialogue and embodiment practices as well as community and connection to land. To find meaning in life, we can’t enter solely through logic. We must shift from knowing something intellectually to feeling it as a truth to transform our quality and direction of travel. Our unrealised potential will always ask us to go into the unknown of our lives and this requires courage to explore what’s uncertain, unchartered and not yet revealed. The journey of leaving known shores is the very thing that empowers us. Patterns running on autopilot keep us trapped in a singular terrain of our potential and we can’t activate our destiny from yesterday or tomorrow, only from where we are now. Being neurodivergent, I’m a natural systems thinker, adept at sensing the web of life and the complexity of social issues and so can offer clients a wider spectrum of insight. Often described as a breath of fresh air for my ability to weave disparate concepts together into a cohesive whole, I provide context for the metamorphoses. It’s not about providing added value, but added meaning, so that action is motivated by illuminated choices, and that creative energy can be converted into practical expression. I consult on Hollywood films, teach at academic institutions, advise governments and corporations, and work with individuals privately. I’m devoted to the wonder and sublime beauty of the world.
