ABOUT KRISTINA SCOTT QUINLAN
I am an education improvement leader with K–12 experience and more than a decade of university-based leadership in accreditation, program evaluation, continuous improvement, and educator licensure systems. My work focuses on building evidence-driven structures that strengthen program integrity, elevate teaching and learning, and produce measurable outcomes for students and institutions.I currently serve as Associate Dean of Education at Salem State University, where I lead accreditation, assessment, licensure compliance, budgeting, and academic operations across the School of Education. I oversee a $3.8M portfolio, support more than 250 faculty, and lead enterprise-level initiatives, including the university’s NECHE Five-Year Accreditation Review.Beyond my university role, I serve as a lead consultant and reviewer for TPI-US. In this work, I have led more than 65 accreditation reviews, quality-assured over 300 additional reviews, and trained more than 90 evaluators across 22 states—supporting educator-preparation programs in building sustainable improvement systems aligned with state and national standards.My leadership focuses on data-driven decision-making, high-quality instructional materials, Science of Reading alignment, and system-level redesign that strengthens candidate readiness and improves PK–12 student outcomes.I also bring board-level and civic financial governance experience through service on national nonprofit finance committees and elected municipal budget oversight.My research and publications focus on special education leadership, teacher engagement, and neurodiversity. Recent articles appear in Open Education Studies and Education and Training in Autism and Developmental Disabilities. I am a frequent conference presenter and podcast guest on inclusive education, data use, and the emerging role of AI in teaching and learning.A lifelong educator and former Division I athlete, I am energized by building teams that merge strategy, innovation, and purpose to expand opportunity and advance learning for all.
