Participates in the development and facilitation of leadership education- Demonstrates initiative to improve quality & customer service- Balances team & individual responsibilities, objective and open to other’s views, gives & welcomes feedback, contributes to positive team goals, puts success of team above own interest- Works in partnership with department management to develop and implement high impact “people practices”- Assists management with overall employee engagement and organizational culture strategies - Assists management with human resource related functions that may include but is not limited to: recruitment of staff, compensation and pay practices, performance development, corrective discipline & training- Interprets and consistently applies human resource policies and practices, while recognizing and appropriately recommending documented exceptions when justified by business needs- Listens to employee concerns & recommends a course of action to remedy situations; anticipates issues when possible and recommends solutions to minimize interruption to the department and negative impact on employee morale- Promotes positive employee morale by supporting employee activities through serving on committees and participating in events- Demonstrates the knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately
