ABOUT KRISTIN KANTER

I’m an animal welfare leader and operations executive focused on building innovative adoption and placement programs that connect animals with the loving homes they deserve.After more than 20 years leading large-scale business and digital transformation initiatives in the staffing and professional services industry, I made the intentional decision to transition my career full-time into animal welfare. I now serve as Director of Adoptions & Placement Programs at The Asher House, where I lead the strategy, development, and growth of adoption and foster placement initiatives designed to improve placement success and long-term outcomes for animals.Throughout my corporate career, I partnered with executive leadership to modernize operating models, lead global technology rollouts, and build scalable enablement and adoption programs supporting thousands of users. I’m known for translating complex initiatives into practical systems that drive adoption, measurable outcomes, and long-term success.Those same skills now translate directly into animal welfare—designing scalable placement programs, improving adoption success rates, strengthening foster networks, and building operational systems that allow organizations to expand their life-saving impact.Alongside my professional work, I have long been deeply involved in rescue. I served on the board of an animal rescue organization, supporting operations, community engagement, fundraising, and foster and adoption coordination.At my core, I’m a builder and operator who thrives at the intersection of mission, strategy, and execution—developing programs, teams, and systems that create lasting impact for both organizations and the communities they serve.
