ABOUT KRISTIN BERHALTER DURIE

Management executive with verifiable year after year success in achieving positive operating results and adding value to an organization. Proven leader with a wide range of management and organizational experiences. Extensive experience in all forms of negotiation, revenue generation, licensing, strategic planning, creative, project management, and team motivation.Formerly Vice President of EMI Music Publishing’s Music Resources television licensing division. Based in LA, I oversaw the publishing company’s work with all the major TV studios and production houses, and managed a bi-coastal staff including both creative and account executives. As part of this role, I led EMI’s work on the Fox TV show Glee, including its numerous spinoffs, as well as partnerships with shows such as Boardwalk Empire, Behind the Candelabra, Phil Spector, and the theme for HBO’s True Blood. Before coming to Amazon, I had completed work on NBC’s The Biggest Loser, to secure a new theme song from Grammy award-winning group Train as part of an overall brand refresh.I currently oversee the Global Industry Operations team on Amazon Music based in Seattle, driving strategy, development, and execution of artist-driven partnerships and organization-wide events. I also oversee a rolling slate of annual projects that enhance Amazon Music’s capabilities globally. Internally, I am a leader in cultivating talent at Amazon Music, frequently devoting time to mentoring, management, and team strategy. I was also a Board member of the affinity group Families@, and I’m currently the Program Chair for Amazon Music’s org-wide employee engagement initiative that boosts morale, culture, and community for our site in Seattle.
