ABOUT KRISTELL JANUSZ
I believe strong networks are built on connection, the kind that extends beyond cables and fiber to the teams and communities they serve.Over the past 25 years, I’ve helped broadband providers modernize legacy infrastructure, strengthen performance, and prepare for the next generation of connectivity. My focus has always been the same: build networks that last, empower teams to lead, and deliver technology that quietly improves everyday life.As Senior Vice President of Network Engineering at Astound Broadband, I lead a national team responsible for network design, modernization, and performance across 4.4 million passings and 1 million subscribers in 11 states. Together, we’re evolving Astound’s fiber-rich, DOCSIS 3.1 and 4.0 platforms, advancing automation and orchestration, and driving smarter, more sustainable capital strategies.Along the way, I’ve guided:• System integrations that unified data, voice, and video networks after multiple acquisitions, enabling scale and reliability.• Capital efficiency programs that converted OPEX to CAPEX and increased transparency across $40M in annual investments.• A 25 percent uptime improvement through cloud-based GIS modernization and real-time network visibility.• Collaborative launches, including a 400 Gbps enterprise transport service that strengthened commercial growth. My leadership philosophy is grounded in partnership and progress. I work closely with executive teams, investors, and engineers to translate complexity into clarity, aligning technology strategy with business outcomes and customer experience.Beyond the work, I’m passionate about mentorship and inclusion. Through Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), I support the next generation of leaders who will shape how our industry connects people, ideas, and possibility. As broadband continues to evolve, I’m inspired by the opportunity to design what comes next: networks that are faster, smarter, and engineered with precision. If you’re driving modernization or transformation within broadband or telecommunications, I’d welcome the chance to connect and share ideas.
