All Things People is a human-systems advisory practice. We diagnose the gap between how work is designed and how humans actually operate, especially during transitions, growth, and change. We help organizations build people-aware systems that work for humans in all their complexity, and translate what\'s quietly broken into something fixable.People aren\'t broken. Organizational design is.

ABOUT KATHY C.

I\'ve spent 20+ years in operations, people strategy, and leadership. Across every role and industry, I kept noticing the same pattern: organizations pour enormous energy into fixing systems while ignoring what systems actually run on. People. And people change.Work is an ecosystem, not a machine. Machines break when parts fail. Ecosystems strain when balance is lost. Most organizations try to fix ecosystem problems with machine logic — tighter controls, more metrics, louder incentives. What gets missed is that people don\'t stop functioning because they\'re unmotivated. They stop because the system no longer fits how humans actually live. Most of the organizations I\'ve worked with weren\'t struggling because of bad people or bad intentions. They had design problems nobody had stopped to look at honestly. I\'ve inherited revolving doors that everyone called a \"people problem.\" Usually it wasn\'t. In one case, we fixed the design instead of the people. Turnover dropped 90%.That\'s what I do through All Things People. Help organizations figure out what\'s actually broken and build something that can handle humans in all their complexity. Mid-career reinvention. Shifting identity. Leadership without a roadmap. The stuff that never shows up in engagement surveys but absolutely shows up in attrition.People aren\'t broken. Organizational design is. That belief drives everything I do and everything I write about here.If you\'re leading others through change, building something more honest than what you inherited, or sensing the old playbook doesn\'t fit anymore, stick around.Open to consulting work through All Things People, and to Chief of Staff, Head of OD, or People Strategy roles. Always up for a conversation worth having.
