ABOUT KIRSTY THOMAS TOLSON
I am currently an Associate Flood Risk Consultant for EAS Transport Planning. I oversee a wide range of Flood risk related projects, including due diligence, insurance reports, ES chapters as well as the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies for planning applications.With over 12 years\' experience in the Flood Risk Management, I have supported clients and local authorities at appeal hearings and enquiries and contributed to legal reviews.My interests include- Challenging my understanding of planning policy in relation to flood risk- Developments in software within the field of flood risk management e.g. open source software such as QGIS, new modelling approaches etc- Innovative solutions to managing flood risk e.g. Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Property Flood Resillience (PFR)- Stakeholder engagement through training and networking opportunitiesI am always looking for opportunities to expand my network, as well as to gain new knowledge and experience through projects and training events.
