ABOUT KIRSTEN MARTIN
A little about me: I am a Business major with emphasis in human resource management. I am finishing up my last quarter here at Cal Poly SLO and couldn’t be more excited to navigate the professional world. So far I have worked 5 years in the restaurant industry so I am constantly improving my customer service, organizational and time management skills. I am excited to continue perfecting my skills and take them into the professional world. I finished working as a publicity assistant intern for the California Mid-State Fair a 12 day event in July of 2024. I focused on marketing and event planning and am excited to continue learning and improving my skillset. I worked extensively doing online promotions for our events and highlighting sponsors, vendors, and music. One of my main tasks was planning and decorating for our Hospitality tent for all of our fair sponsors and ensuring satisfaction for those promoting our event.
