ABOUT CHRIS MCMAHON
I volunteer my time as an officer at the local Boys’ Brigade Company where I teach the bugle for the marching band as well as run the Senior section class. I am an avid fan of F1 and a keen photographer with a portfolio that I work on. I have a passion for skiing and blading. My most recent hobby is power kiting which is quite weather dependent but a good day offers some great fun and exercise.I have focussed on the support and client service side of IT on both the business to client and business-to-business level. Computacenter and Eversheds have provided me with fantastic opportunities, the most notable was implementing a migration from Microsoft SMS 2003 to SCCM 2007. I was fortunate enough to visit the Shanghai office to provide a first point of contact for IT issues and to liaise with UK support teams to resolve issues effectively. There have been numerous other high profile projects that I have taken lead roles and carried out the design and implementation of, including disk encryption, data leakage prevention solutions, Windows 7 migration and Antivirus migration.Before starting at Eversheds, I worked on many contracted projects. I gained in excess of 20 clients all of which value and trust the work and consultancy I have provided for them. These projects have been a valuable method of learning new technologies. I am confident to take a lead on project work or provide support to other team members when placed in a role that demands structure and procedures.I have proactively improved my skills and knowledge by self-studying Microsoft, VM, Linux and Open University courses. I have been confronted with numerous issues all of which I have been able to resolve effectively and within SLA limits. I am adept at fault resolution across a number of technologies with good proven track records. I am often called upon to work with external vendors and internal teams to resolve high profile issues due to my ability to work a problem through and site knowledge.
