ABOUT KIERAN AGER

Kieran Ager MSc BEng (Hons) P.Eng CP CEng MIFireE PMSFPE CFPS I am an experienced Fire Engineer with 17+ years within the fire industry. I am an incredibly self-motivated and driven professional who thrives on a challenge and actively seeks development opportunities. Throughout my career, I have maintained a strong focus on interpersonal relationships including; colleagues, clients, & members of the wider fire community. This approach drives a mutual loyalty which underpins my career growth & opportunities. Although I am active within all aspects of Fire Engineering, my primary technical focus is performance-based design. I am fortunate to have enjoyed a career that has allowed me to lead & develop fire strategies and solutions for complex and iconic structures and projects, most notably, in Canada, US, UK, Myanmar, and Qatar. Significant project types include stadia, high rise residential, educational, commercial, health care, transit and mixed-use occupancies. I am an active participant on numerous committees. I have a strong feeling of responsibility to inform and evolve the fire engineering discipline to not only meet the current needs of the built environment, but also address emerging challenges & threats. New technologies, taller buildings, building materials, sustainability objectives, risk analysis, & integrated security solutions are but some of the areas to which I strive to focus fire engineering towards. I lead by example with a strong technical focus including; project management, quality management, financial performance, and client focus. I believe in providing value to my clients and projects through sound engineering principles, risk management, & holistic integrated solutions.
