Vistage Chair @Vistage Worldwide, Inc.
Las Vegas, NV, US
I lead a vetted group of self-aware, high-functioning business leaders as a Vistage Peer Advisory Group Chair. CEOs and business owners participate in one-on-one coaching sessions and monthly meetings with an objective, experienced peer group who offer unbiased advice in a confidential environment. I facilitate speakers and workshops tailored to the group’s specific needs that address everything from managing talent and recruiting to navigating transitions. I also connect chief executives to proprietary research, thought leaders, and members worldwide. Vistage member companies grow 2.2 times faster than average small and medium-sized U.S. businesses according to analysis of Dun & Bradstreet data.

ABOUT KEVIN ODOR
I’ve been a Vistage member the last 15 years and found its leadership development incredibly valuable as the Senior Pastor at Canyon Ridge Christian Church. With 75 employees and an $8.5 million annual budget, our nonprofit shares a lot in common with the for-profit world. Our Vistage group launched 20 years ago and represents a wonderful blend of old and new – from an iconic Las Vegas general contractor (and founding member) to a young Internet marketer with a global company.I care tremendously about Vistage and that’s why I’ve decided to take over for the Chair who led our group the last 17 years. As a pastor for 42 years, my background makes me uniquely qualified to facilitate the Vistage process. For example: I’m comfortable leading meetings with internal committees, volunteers, staff, and mixed company I draw out thinking around the room to ensure active participation so members are not just there to sit, everyone has a voice I build trust so people feel vulnerable enough to tell the truth and get to the “issue behind the issue”I’m always looking for new members to join our group from diverse business backgrounds to keep our group well-rounded and strong.It\'s easy to push down how lonely it can be at the top, but the bigger your organization grows the more isolating it can become. It’s difficult to talk to people who helped you build the company because certain things you need to hold close to the vest. The Board, investors, leadership team, even friends and family cannot always act as a sounding board. If this sounds familiar, I encourage you to consider Vistage to add a confidential, non-competing CEO peer advisory group to your circle of relationships. A leader becoming a better human cultivates a thriving team that produces a thriving business.
