As a Staff Attorney with the Moran Center for Youth Advocacy, I have the privilege of serving low-income families in the Evanston community. My practice is primarily focused on Eviction Defense, Landlord Tenant Disputes, and Family Law. I routinely appear in court representing tenants facing eviction. In my practice, I employ litigation and negotiation tactics to advocate on behalf of my clients. I also regularly represent clients in Divorce, Guardianship, and Custody cases.In my role, I also work with other social service agencies to coordinate resources on behalf of my clients, often times to ensure that they remain housed. The wholistic representation that we provide fits into our greater mission as a School-Based Civil Legal Clinic of helping to ensure that low-income families are provided with the stability that is needed for students to thrive in school.From September 2022 to January 2023, I served as the Interim Director of the School Based Civil Legal Clinic. In May 2023, I completed the Diversity in the Courtroom Trial Advocacy Program hosted by the American College of Trial Lawyers. Most recently, in June 2024, I successfully completed Leadership Evanston, a 9-month program designed to cultivate leaders while enriching our understanding of the Evanston Community.
