ABOUT KEVIN CHACKO

With over 9 years of experience in Mechanical Analysis, I specialise in explicit dynamic crash analysis and thermal modelling, with strong expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA). My background spans impact and crashworthiness modelling as well as thermal analysis of complex engineering systems, enabling me to address multi-physics challenges across structural and thermal domains. As a Senior Thermal Engineer at MBDA, I contribute to the development of advanced defence systems by aligning thermal and structural simulation capabilities with system-level performance requirements. I apply rigorous modelling and validation methodologies to ensure simulation credibility, while supporting the delivery of reliable and innovative engineering solutions. At MBDA, I lead thermal engineering activities on the SPEAR 3 programme, overseeing system- and sub-system-level thermal model development, validation, and technical reporting. I collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute thermal trials, evaluate design cases, and provide critical performance assessments supporting flight qualification. In parallel, my experience in explicit dynamic modelling and crash analysis strengthens my ability to interpret complex structural-thermal interactions under extreme loading conditions. I also contribute to technical risk management, budget planning, and forecasting, ensuring robust delivery of programme objectives.
