Software project lead leading a team of highly skilled software engineers in Bolton developing complex software to meet business requirements across multiple work programs. Managing concurrent projects to tight deadlines is key so resource management and prioritization is important. We operate using an Agile based approach ready to adapt to shifting priorities and customer requirements changes when they arise. Working closely with stakeholders across different technical teams to agree priorities and provide ongoing status updates as to delivery progress and project expenditure. Ensuring compliance with software engineering processes through robust technical documentation and regular project reviews is also extremely important. This helps provide clarity and reassurance to the business that projects are under control and that products are delivered on time, on budget and on quality. Within the software team itself we promote a right first time mindset to minimise the potential for delays incurred through software rework. We are also pro-active in software testing ensuring that we have a high degree of confidence in the performance of the software that we release.
