ABOUT KEN JEFFERY
Associate Director of Learning Design for the Centre for Teaching and Educational Technologies (CTET) at Royal Roads University. With a rich (former) background in graphic arts, visual communications, print production and typography, my experience from over 18 years in post-secondary education contribute to my role in learning design and development. I have an MA in Learning and Technology, where I researched strategies and successes in implementing social media in constructivist teaching practices. I am interested in, and write about pedagogy of care, critical pedagogy, and appreciate assessment, and I continue to teach, currently as an associate faculty member for the School of Education and Technology at Royal Roads. I\'m a former Open Education Faculty Fellow with BCcampus, and was co-author of the open textbook Graphic Design and Print Production Fundamentals. I\'m a keen advocate for open educational practices, and socially constructive, student-centred education.
