ABOUT KEN CURTIS

Which developmental changes have catapulted you forward in the last decade? Change is one of the only constants in our lives and we are gifted with the decision on how best to take advantage of the opportunities presented by it. I was 14 years old when I was offered an opportunity to work weekends on a construction site pulling nails from old solid oak beams. I learned the value of hard work and perseverance, as the quality of my efforts helped recover cost and re-use of materials, maximizing the company’s investment. I was delivering a positive change, and contributing towards company growth – something I’ve solidified as a professional constant in my career journey. Since then, I have had many different roles in a career nearly spanning 40 years. From musician, bartender, and military officer, to strategic advisor in the US Army. The common link in all of these roles was the lesson I learned that customers value the relationship more than anything else; and that the experience of that relationship makes all the difference. The world today is facing an ever accelerating pace of change. Disruptive new technologies are driving the pace and the organizations that embrace these are winning. Bold initiative can yield new and inventive ways to engage your customers, empower your employees, transform your products and optimize how you develop the customer relationship and help them realize their dreams.Building that customer experience and enabling every person on the planet to achieve more, is at the heart of what we do at Microsoft, and a personal value of mine. It is my passion. Are you ready to achieve
