Provide pier-side connect/disconnect service to navy vessels• 24/7 on call rotation tasks to ensure all vessels requiring connectivity receive service as they dock at the port.• Preform fiber optic cable cleaning/testing • Plan and organize complex operational designs, develop support plans, coordinate implementations.• Manage underlay routers to NSA Naples and Gaeta to provide service• Provide second level support for Local Area Network (LAN), Base Area Network (BAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) solutions encompassing heterogeneous platforms.• Assist information engineers in coding, testing, implementation, and documentation projects.• Work with Cyber Security analysts to ensure Enterprise information flow is secure• Ensures effective and efficient operation of network systems, architecture, and topology• Ensure network configurations are backed up regularly and properly stored.• Monitor and troubleshoot to ensure all operating systems are functioning properly and conform to operation security policies and procedures.• Receive and analyze network alerts from various sources within the enterprise and determine possible causes of such alerts.• Track and document incidents from initial detection through final resolution• Assists with the development and application of business processes to ensure appropriate service levels.
