ABOUT KELVIN DAVISON

Enjoying challenge and change whilst working with committed colleagues towards mutual goals. I am committed, intelligent and professional, enjoying resolving problems and improving things. I am also an outgoing character who enjoys engaging with new people, processes and products.I am an experienced, formally trained and qualified professional with 20 years within the manufacturing industry, of which 10 years was spent as a Technical Manager in 2 different steel mills. During this time I pride myself that I enjoyed and was effective at: Delivering projects; making process and product improvements; coordinating several areas; solving often very complex problems; delivering solutions for customers and making strong professional and personal connections. I feel lucky to have experienced a varied array of challenges in my career ensuring the continued progress of the businesses I have worked for and becoming expert in the products produced during that time.During my career I have developed and demonstrated skill in: Making connections between situations and areas; translating complex concepts and situations into simple language; understanding business needs; using insight and intuition to preempt problems; presenting results and project progress; customer service; project management; quality management; quality assurance; auditing; materials science; process modelling; product development; materials testing; specifications; standards and certification.The businesses I worked within were large, International companies, which experienced large changes during my tenure and operated to high standards for Quality Assurance (ISO9001:2015) and health and safety throughout. My experience included working for a Tier 1 COMAH business and I pride myself in an excellent attitude towards health and safety.I have a keen interest in cycling, music, science, engineering, literature, history, culture and of all things - shoe care!
