My current responsibilities include:• To give direction and develop department managers to achieve total customer satisfaction resulting in a profitable operation. • Maintain merchandising programs, develop procedures and test projects. • Develop operational procedures, implement and maintain merchandising programs as well as test and validate new concepts and programs. • New & re-model store opening assistance in set up, training & operations. • Responsible for retail sales and profits for assigned stores through merchandising plans and coaching/training of department disciplines.• Ensure the successful and consistent implementation of comprehensive category business plans and merchandising plans. Category plans include tactics in the areas of assortment, pricing, promotion, shelf placement and coordination with cross function teams. • Continually monitor and assess performance vs budgeted objectives for department utilizing all resources available such as Stock Ledger, Known Loss Reports, Scorecards and Profit & Loss Statements.• Responsible for providing direction, support, coaching, training, and team alignment with retail department associates.
