ABOUT KEITH GOFFIN
As a business school professor, thought leader and consultant, my area of interest is innovation management. I research the ways in which companies are trying to boost their output of innovative products and services. The results of this research are applied in my teaching with MBA students and executives, and in consulting with selected, leading organizations. Typically, I help companies generate a new perspective on their existing markets and identify \'white-space\' where they can enter new markets. Some of my most interesting work is with Dr Ian Kierans of Advanced Organisation, a leading innovation and growth consultancy, and our book Innovative Growth (2023) includes many case studies based on our work. What fascinates me is the number of companies that say they want to become more innovative but fail to take the right steps to achieve it. Therefore my consulting and research is focused on five areas- Identifying corporate growth opportunities (through new products, services, and new business models)- Identifying customers\' hidden needs - new methods for market research and developing breakthrough products and services- Knowledge management in R&D- Managing new product development- Breaking-down barriers to innovation and creating a \'culture of innovation\'
