ABOUT KAT LEITZMANN
As a kid growing up in Denver, I spent hours on Microsoft Publisher designing business cards for local shops, pairing questionable fonts with clip art. Between pitching those unsolicited designs, I wrote letters to local representatives and signed petitions for climate action and human rights.Those early passions for creativity and advocacy have evolved into a career dedicated to connecting, communicating, and driving meaningful change – albeit with some improved designs. For nearly 10 years, I’ve been part of the Water For People team, a global nonprofit addressing the water crisis in nine countries across Latin America, Asia, and Africa.At Water For People, we don’t focus on quick fixes. We’re changing systems – partnering with communities, businesses, and governments to build and maintain water and sanitation systems that will last for generations to come. Because water is at the center of everything for our world, from improved health to climate change resilience, educational opportunities to gender equity.
