ABOUT KATIE RUCKER

I am a people-first, purpose-driven business leader and operational expert, with a passion and proven aptitude for unlocking the potential of employees and brands across industries. I bring a unique blend of strategic business acumen, analytical skills and operational know-how to my role as Chief Operations and People Officer at MacKenzie Corporation, a second-generation family business that provides consumer insights and data solutions for clients across diverse industries. MacKenzie was founded on the premise of combining passion and curiosity to create remarkable customer experiences and drive growth opportunities for clients through the use of customer insights and data analytics. As Chief Operations and People Officer, I head the operational and administrative direction for the company, working to mirror MacKenzie’s outward mission internally by improving internal processes, strengthening company culture and promoting employee engagement. An eternal optimist and aspiring futurist, I have an undeniable knack for bringing people together and inspiring teams and companies alike to reach their full potential. I joined the family business in 2008 and took co-ownership of the company in 2012. Through this transition of leadership, I’ve worked to redefine MacKenzie’s core company values and lead a full-scale corporate culture shift that improved collaboration and engagement, better positioning the employees for success and in turn, placing the company on the path for growth. Prior to joining the family at MacKenzie, I was Executive Vice President at Pacific Partners, where I directed corporate meetings, incentives and events, and played a significant role in strategic direction and business development for the company. Outside of the office, I am passionate about giving back to the community and am an avid nature lover. I currently serve on the board of trustees for the Orange County Ronald McDonald House as well as The Bloom Foundation. I was a founding member of the Young Leaders group at the Center for Family Business at Cal State Fullerton and was recently named the Irvine Chamber’s Women of Influence for 2020. I graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder and The Futures School Strategic Foresight Accelerator Program.
